ABOUT SEAN

Born in Seoul, South Korea, where he received a degree in Visual Communication Design, Sean moved to the U.S. to attend FIT in New York. He began his professional design career at J Crew in NYC, then moved to Los Angeles where he continued to hone his skills at Laundry by Shelly Segal. His talents earned him the position of Design Director at People's Liberation and William Rast, and he later took over as sole designer for women's wear at Velvet by Graham & Spencer.

Hired by Herve Leger in 2009, Sean was instrumental in transforming the image of the classic bandage dress, moving it into a vibrant new era of sexy sophistication. He quickly made his mark on the New York Fashion Week runway and soon became Design Director at HL, busily helming fourteen NYFW runway shows, as well as Herve Leger's year-round seasonal collections.
